Shine like the moon
Be there even when you’re not
Reflect the light of others
Illuminate the darkness
Go through phases
Beginning with new
Ending with full
Mark time in predictable cycles
Bringing order to the chaos
Remind the world of its magic
Create only transparent shadows
That disappear with the dawn
Make tidal-like changes
With no obvious effort
Bring people together
Who marvel at the light you emit
The beauty you emanate
The beacon that you are.
